Minecraft has enjoyed one of the biggest game explosions in the history of video games. It all started in 2009 when Markus “Notch” Persson offered a beta Minecraft free. This beta version was shared by thousands of early adopters. By January of 2010 Minecraft surpassed 100,000 users. The game was developing into ever more complex versions of itself. New mobs were introduced, new game modes were introduced, every sort of new tools and elements were incorporated into Minecraft. The real explosion of Minecraft took place when over the internet multiplayer mode was introduced.

To play Minecraft for free began when Mojang offered Minecraft Classic to play on their website. This now outdated version of Minecraft is still popular today, though it lacks many of the game’s current elements. It is very interesting though as it is almost like going back in time for Minecraft fans. . Minecraft has the largest library of user created modifications of any video game. This follows the original appeal of Minecraft free. Everything about the game is created by the user. The tools you are using to create… were created by you. Minecraft for free too another leap when coders began to look into developing new launchers for the game. Cracked versions of the game started to appear.which offered full gameplay without the ability to play on Premium Minecraft servers. Then cracked servers began to show up. Players could log on to cracked or “off-line” servers and play any form of multiplayer Minecraft for free.

The concept of “try before you buy” has been around since the beginning of time. This idea has really taken hold in the world of video games. Many games are offered in a trial mode which will hook users. Other times, the full game can be offered with the same results. Minecraft’s creator, often referred to as simply “Notch”, was once asked by a fan for a free premium account because he didn’t have any money. Perhaps you can play Minecraft for free and Mojang can still get paid in the end. I believe that this is what happens. Players try the game for free, only to eventually buy the full game. Why buy the full game? Well, with the full game, you can play on Premium servers, it is easy to change your player “skin”, and you’ll have that good feeling that you did the right thing.
Minecraft is a game that never ceases to amaze me. Just think, later this year Minecraft 2.0 will come out…. killer chicken/ducks anyone? Minecraft for free started with a simple release of a beta game from an unknown game developer. It has grown into a full featured release with all the bells and whistles. Don’t forget about the pigs! I sure wouldn’t want to live Minecraft free.
